"They" particularly made it touch a monolith

When both man-apes and mankind meet it for the existence which is far superior to itself, and it seems to want to try to touch it. I want to touch "them" who installed it by touching a monolith...

Are these man-apes and mankind's instinct? It isn't unpleasant, "They" made it act to man-apes and mankind. To touch a monolith, to push the switch of the evolution, in other words, to choose evolution personally. Then,"they" became silent, and "they" had only to look atit.

Though Christianity-like philosophy seems that be in the base of this work,(there is an opinion that it is Zoroastrianism, too.) how to think is even like Buddhism "It is made to choose it by itself." Buddhism contains the intense idea of "Destiny can be chosen by one's will." Then, the choice of the destiny is thought to be done by each person's "karma."

But, "they" are not Buddha. It wasn't thinking about man-apes and mankind's independence. That man-apes and mankind touch a monolith,to push the switchof the evolution, "they" have already made up their mind. It was only time target postponement that was given to man-apes and mankind.

Because it had already known a result, "they" could keep waiting for no less than several million years.
