The generation which is the same as me,probably, two captains of the name of "Bowman(Borman)" are known. David Bowman captain of "2001 A Space Odyssey." and Frank Borman captain of Apollo 8.

Apollo 8 mission was the epoch-making thing that the back of the moon was shown to mankind for the first time. I got excited more than Apollo 11 of mankind first moon landing. If my memory is right, at the scene when airmen go to Apollo 8 before the launch, the tune of "yellow-submarine" of the Beatles must be played.

By the way, it was strange when it tried to compare these two Bowman(Borman) captains. First, in the novel 2001 A Space Odyssey made a novel of the scenario, it was written by the movie and the simultaneous progress and advanced.
